“WDW46: Redemption” is the story of Ted and Shane of the theme park blog Parkeology attempting to ride all 46 rides across Walt Disney World‘s four theme parks over the course of a single, 17-hour operating day. The “Redemption” subtitle is a reference to the pair’s inability to complete the task in 2013.
Outwardly, we expressed satisfaction with the attempt. We had proven it could be done and came within a few raindrops of making it. But deep down, we felt that we left something unfinished. The day itself faded like a surreal, grueling dream. Then it was back to everyday life, with only sore muscles and broken bones to remind us what we had gone through. It seemed too much to hope that we could recapture the magic. It seemed unthinkable to risk coming up short again.
