Freelensing, Shooting Photos With The Lens Detached and Held In Place

Gizmodo has posted a great gallery of photos shot using a photography technique known as Freelensing, where the lens is detached, but held in place and then manually moved around to focus. The results are quite interesting. More examples can be found in the Freelensing Flickr Group.
